From October 2003 until October 2004 Dutch photographer and video-artist Jaap de Ruig travelled Europe, together with Dutch writer Mariët Meester (www.marietmeester.nl). In about twenty-five places in Eastern- and Western Europe Jaap de Ruig has shown a selection of the videos he created between 1998 and 2003.

During the Screening Europe Tour Jaap de Ruig also made new videos, because Screening Europe for him also means X-raying, investigating Europe.
